New Resources

Summertime is a wonderful reprieve from having to teach. Still, as a homeschooling teacher who creates her own lesson plans--and occasionally curriculum--I remain very busy during the summer. Below are some packets and lessons I've been working on.

Teachers Pay Teachers

The newest feature to present to you is my TpT store. Teachers Pay Teachers is a wonderful website designed by teachers and for teachers. It contains many lessons, activities, packets, worksheets, clipart, and more that you can purchase. There are also many FREE items for download.

This year I'm creating a 1st Grade math curriculum for my youngest son. The first semester's worth of packets is up for purchase. You can purchase each week separately, or pick and choose what packets to purchase based on your need.

My Game Board Number Line is also available for FREE. Click the image below to visit my TpT store:

I also have various Biblical packets available. Our first week will be spent studying the Days of Creation. Since both of my boys benefit from visual learning, I created this fabulous, colorful Days of Creation packet with flashcards, posters, worksheets, memory cards, and more. There are many other wonderful packets to choose from. And, of course, more will be added as I create them.

Fun Lesson Plans

Our Days of Creation lessons are not just going to be the ordinary Biblical lessons. I've chosen to interweave scientific lessons throughout each lesson. For instance, when learning about the sky, the boys will be introduced to the various atmospheres above the earth. On Day 5, when we learn about the birds and the fish, we'll explore the interesting facets of woodpeckers.

Of course, this is only a sampling of what we'll cover. I also have Greek and Roman Civilization lessons to prepare the boys for future New Testament Bible lessons.

Art lessons are being integrated, as well, and I'm really looking forward to those.

While I'll hate to lose my free time that comes with summer, I look forward to teaching my boys once again.
